Council Partnership Success Story

Decarbonising 175 Homes in South Oxford with Heat Pumps
South Oxford
175 Social Housing Properties
300–500 Tonnes CO₂ Saved Annually

Project Overview

As part of the nationwide Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), EcoFueled partnered with Bell Group Ltd and South Oxford Housing Association, working alongside Oxford Council, to deliver large-scale upgrades across South Oxford.

The goal was to cut carbon emissions, reduce residents’ energy bills, and improve comfort all while supporting the council’s mission to decarbonise local housing stock.

The retrofit programme covers 175 properties, delivered in two phases, with measures including solar PV, battery storage, insulation upgrades, and Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pumps and hot water cylinders.

For residents, this means warmer homes, lower costs, and a sustainable future.
